Secretly every Beater turns into these bikes with some reconfiguration.
The current stable of test bikes have been distributed. They do come back occasionally so there is still a chance that you may still be contacted. Also there will be a fresh batch of test bikes in the fall. For that reason we’re going to keep the sign up form active on an ongoing basis.
As we have more prototypes than employees we need some help testing out our bikes. Check out the Test Pilots page for more detail.
We don’t have any bikes to sell you for a year but we do have a TV spot. We’ll get it on the site soon but for now it’s over here.
Sorry folks, there will be no 2011 Beaters. The next Beater bike won’t be coming until spring 2012. I will be taking pre-orders starting October 2011. They will then start to appear at local bikes stores across North America in the spring of 2012. I’m sorry, but it’s just not going to happen this year. I too can understand everyone’s disappointment as there is nothing I would rather do this spring than sell you a new bike.
What I can tell you about the new bikes is that the 2012 Beaters will come in four models:
1 Speed Men’s
3 Speed Men’s
1 Speed Women’s
3 Speed Women’s
If you live in Toronto, there is a good chance of seeing a prototype of the 2012 on the street. I’ve been road testing them for the last month or so and will continue to do so until the finals arrive. I can’t wait to get the final version into your hands.
